ABOUT EVAN JONES
FAMILY PICTURES
Family Pictures is an exhibition of paintings based on pictures of the artist's family. Featuring candid moments from family gatherings, fishing trips, and pets, Family Pictures is a personal exhibition that is removed from the post-modern approach to art making. However, it is tied to the basic practice of painters depicting the things closest to them, a gesture that stretches to the beginning of painting.
Evan Jones (b. 1992) is a painter / multi disciplinary artist from Cashiers, North Carolina, currently working in Atlanta, Georgia.
